Careers in Metal Fabrication Industry

Have you ever dreamt of working abroad but don’t know what kind of work to do? If you are interested in working manual labor, you might want to consider metal fabrication. Manual labored jobs are getting in demand nowadays because manual laborers in developed countries are ageing and the current generation of the labor force are slowly inclining to white collar jobs which requires less effort physically.

Like metal fabrication, jobs in the automotive industries are also in demand abroad but today, we will be focusing on jobs under metal fabrication.

Welder

Welders are manual laborers who are tasked of joining pieces of metals together by melting it with a welding rod. This is a highly hazardous job that requires PPEs that protects mainly the eyes. Does it take years to learn the skill? Here in the Philippines, it will only take you 6 months to learn the skill. There are various agencies that offer trainings about welding like TESDA.

Machine Operator

Machine operators are those who work in a computer controlled machines to ensure fast paced production and quality of the products made. Machines usually used in metal fabrication factories are usually machines for cutting, bending and assembling. Upon searching jobs related to metal fabrication, I saw job post that requires machine operators of metal press machines.

Maintenance Engineer

As a maintenance engineer, your job is to keep machines inside the factory in excellent working condition. In this job, you need to be a graduate of BS Mechanical Engineer.

Quality Control Inspector

As QA inspector your job will be ensuring that the products are in par with the company’s standard of quality. Your job is also to prevent reject products to save the company’s resources.
